The Sacramento Police Department is releasing images of two suspects and three female associates caught on surveillance cameras just shortly before the murder of 27-year-old Chester Jackson.
On February 20, 2011, at 2:40 a.m., officers received a call to the 2900 block of Advantage Way on a subject who had been shot outside a restaurant. Officers arrived and found Chester Jackson shot on the sidewalk area in front of the business. Jackson was later declared deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. Based on the investigation, it is believed that two groups of subjects got into an argument inside the restaurant. The groups went outside and the argument escalated when the victim was shot.
Detectives were able to retrieve surveillance video from inside the restaurant. The images show two male suspects believed to have been involved in the shooting of Jackson. The suspects are described as follows: #1- male Black, 20's, 5'8-6'0, skinny build, light facial hair, medium complexion, short fade hairstyle, wearing a grey jacket, and blue jeans; #2- male Black, 20's, 5'10, muscular build, light facial hair, medium complexion, short fade hairstyle, wearing a black jacket, and dark pants. In addition, detectives are seeking to identify three females that were with the suspects inside the restaurant. The females were not involved in the homicide but are wanted for questioning based on their association with the suspects.
