The Sacramento Police Department is investigating an early morning homicide of a 48-year-old male.
On March 8, 2011, at approximately 5:45 a.m., officers responded to reports of gun shots near 21st Avenue and Franklin Boulevard. Officers arrived finding a 48-year-old male Black who had been shot. The victim was transported to an area hospital and later died from his injuries.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. At this time, detectives do not have a motive for the murder. The victim was found deceased in front of a vacant house and currently it is not known why the victim was near that location.
