The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community's help to locate 28-year-old Augustine Aranda who is wanted for the murder of Mark Colquitt.
On March 8, 2011, at approximately 5:45 a.m., officers responded to reports of gun shots near 21st Avenue and Franklin Boulevard. Officers arrived finding 48-year-old Mark Colquitt shot. He was transported to an area hospital and later died from his injuries.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. Detectives received information that led to the identification of 28-year-old Augustine Aranda as the suspect in this murder. Aranda is described as a male Hispanic, 5'7, 220 lbs., brown hair, and brown eyes.
On March 10, 2011, Sacramento Police detectives with the assistance of the Citrus Heights Police Department searched a house in the 7500 block of St. Philomena Way in Citrus Heights, California for the suspect but did not locate him. Investigators believe the suspect is still in the Sacramento region.
