The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the murder of a 19-year-old male in North Sacramento.
On March 12, 2011, at approximately 12:46 a.m., officers responded to the 3200 block of Northgate Boulevard on a call of gun shots heard in the area. Officers arrived and found a 19-year-old male who had been shot. The Sacramento Fire Department responded and declared the victim deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. Based upon the preliminary investigation, it is believed that a large crowd of people were hanging out in the parking lot of a bar when the victim was shot. At this time it is unknown what prompted the shooting.
