The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community's help in locating a stolen bicycle taken during a robbery.
On March 18, 2011, at 1:30 a.m., the victim was riding home on his three-wheeled bicycle near San Juan Road and Rancho Silva Drive. Two suspects approached and robbed the victim at gunpoint taking his money and bicycle. The victim has Cerebral Palsy and uses the bicycle as his primary means of transportation. The bicycle is distinctive and described as follows: blue, three-wheeled, chrome handle bar, black basket attached to the back, black seat (see photos attached).
The suspects were described as; #1- male Black adult, 6', 18-20 years old, muscular build, wearing a black sweater and jeans #2- male Black, 17-19 years old, thin build, wearing a puffy jacket, and jeans.
The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357) or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
