The Sacramento Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another person in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
On April 14, 2011, at 4:45 p.m., officers responded to a shooting near Northgate Boulevard and San Juan Road. Officers arrived and found a deceased 19-year-old male and a 20-year-old with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives believe that the victims were parked and sitting in their car when they exchanged some words with two suspects that arrived in a light blue truck. At some point, the suspect (s) shot at the victims and then fled the scene. At this time, detectives do not know the motive for the shooting.
The suspects are described as a male White and a male possibly of Pacific Island decent, both with short hair. The suspects were in a light blue smaller truck.
