The Sacramento Police Department arrested Nestor Ardon for the murder of a 24-year-old male that occurred outside a marijuana dispensary.
On April 20, 2011, at approximately 11:45 a.m., officers responded to a stabbing on Quinta Court near Stockton Boulevard in South Sacramento. Upon arrival, officers contacted numerous witnesses and a victim. Two other victims had driven themselves to a nearby hospital both suffering from stab wounds. One of the victims at the hospital later died from his injuries.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. Based on the investigation, it appears that some of the involved parties were at one point inside the dispensary. As the three victims were leaving the dispensary in their vehicle, words were exchanged with the suspect who was in a truck with his girlfriend and a 4-year-old child. At this time, it appears the argument involved gang affiliation. The verbal confrontation escalated into a fight between the suspect and the three victims. At one point during the fight, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the three victims. The suspect then attempted to stab an uninvolved person who was trying to stop the altercation. The suspect fled the scene, but was later apprehended near 24th Street and Fruitridge Road.
The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Nestor Ardon. Ardon was found to have a murder warrant out of Kansas City, Kansas.
The deceased victim is a 24-years-old male Hispanic whose identity will be released by the Sacramento Coroner's Office upon notification of his next of kin. The other two victims had non-life threatening injuries and are described as male Hispanics in their 20's.
