The Sacramento Police Department is looking for 33-year-old Bobby John who is wanted for a burglary in which he used a ruse to get the victim away from the interior of his house.
From March thru May of 2011, the Police Department investigated twelve burglaries in which the suspects posed as plumbers or contractors approaching elderly victims at their homes. The suspects ruse the victims into their backyard at which time accomplices would go into the house and commit a burglary.
On April 15, 2011, suspect Bobby John contacted the victim at his home in the 6000 block of Tahoe Way posing as a contractor. The victim went with the suspect into the backyard to look at a water leak. The victim then recalled reading about the scam in the newspaper and went to the front of his house. The victim saw three suspects run from his house with property and into a white pickup truck.
Detectives were able to develop information that led to the identity of one of the suspects as 33-year-old Bobby John. Bobby John is described as a male, white, 5'7", 180 lbs, brown hair, hazel eyes and is currently on non-revocable parole. At this time, Bobby John is wanted for one burglary however the investigation is ongoing to determine if he was involved in the other eleven similar burglaries.
