The Sacramento Police Department's Central Problem Oriented Police Officers (POP) confiscated guns, drugs and cash at a residence.
On Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 7:00 a.m., officers served a search warrant in the 9200 block of Wenlock Court. Inside the residence, officers found a variety of drugs including marijuana, cocaine, hash and an ounce of methamphetamine. Officers located 28 guns, two of which were assault rifles and stolen property taken in recent burglaries.
The POP team started their investigation after receiving community tips on criminal activity by the suspects. The investigation led officers to believe that drug dealing and fencing operations were occurring at the residence. Officers obtained a search warrant and ultimately arrested David Utley, 57, and Donna Kesner, 50. The suspects were arrested for weapon violations, drug sales, and possession of stolen property.
This was a great example of how collaboration between the community and officers can result in removing dangerous guns and drugs from our streets.
