The Sacramento Police Athletic League is conducting the 2nd Annual Fitness Boot Camp for the youth of Sacramento.
The Sacramento Police Activities League is a community-based program providing healthy activities for kids, building self-esteem and promoting teamwork with police officers. SAC PAL offers educational and enrichment programs for local youth.
One such program is the Fitness Boot Camp. The 2011 Fitness Boot Camp is a six-week long program in which SAC PAL kids attend two days per week, three hours a day. The program focuses on physical fitness as well as developing the "PAL Pillars of Character" which include self-esteem, honesty, integrity, fairness and justice. The kids are put through drill and ceremony practice and a variety of sports and games. The camp instructors consist of Sacramento police officers and physical fitness trainers who volunteer their time to this program. The camp begins on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, continues through August 18, 2011 and is located at 240 Seavey Circle in Sacramento.
The Fitness Boot Camp is one of many youth programs that Sacramento Police Officers participate in.
