The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the murder of a 50-year-old male in South Natomas.
On July 15, 2011, at 10:10 p.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of Mammoth Way to assist a family member who was trying to check on the welfare of a relative that had not been heard from in a couple of days. Officers gained entry into the home and found the victim deceased and with trauma to his body.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. At this time, the motive for the murder is unknown.
