The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the murder of a 49-year-old male Asian.
On July 22, 2011, at 11:02 pm, officers responded to 15th Avenue and Franklin Boulevard on a car that crashed into a house. On arrival, a male victim was found inside a red Honda CRV and determined to be deceased.
Preliminary indications led officers to believe that this was a fatal car accident. Once traffic investigators arrived they determined that the damage to the vehicle was inconsistent with the injuries to the victim. A more detailed check of the victim's injuries revealed trauma to the upper body that was consistent with a homicide.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. At this time, the circumstances that led up to the victim's murder are unknown.
