The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the murder of a 19-year-old male.
On July 30, 2011, officers responded to 900 block of North Ave on the sounds of gun shots. Upon arrival in the area, an officer was flagged down on Harris Avenue near Rio Linda Boulevard by some people who were driving a male that had just been shot on North Avenue. Fire Department personnel arrived and declared the victim deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives believe that an argument began between two groups with gang slurs being said. A male suspect shot and killed the victim during the confrontation.
The two suspects were described as being male Black adults and driving a dark colored sedan.
