The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the death of a 43-year-old male.

On August 10, 2011, at 1:34 a.m., officers responded to 53rd and T Street on a suicide.  As officers looked into the death some facts and circumstances arose surrounding the incident that warranted further investigation.  Amongst the circumstances necessitating additional investigation was that the victim and his girlfriend had been in an argument prior to the shooting, a suicide note was initially hidden from officers, and the report of multiple gun shots being heard.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene.  Based on their investigation, detectives believe that the death was likely the result of a suicide.
