The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a male.
On Thursday, August 25, 2011, at 7:06 a.m., a passerby called in regarding a male lying on the driveway. Both the Sacramento Police and Fire Department responded to the 7300 block of 19th Street and located the male. Medical personnel declared him deceased at the scene. It appears as though the victim, a male in his 40's suffered from a gunshot wound.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. At this time, detectives are actively investigating the circumstances that led to the murder. Based on the preliminary investigation, very few details are known at this time and detectives have yet to identify a suspect or motive.
