The Sacramento Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that left a man in his 20's dead.
On September 4th, 2011, at 1:36 a.m., officers received a call to the 6800 block of Fruitridge Rd. on a subject who had been shot outside of a bar. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim who had been shot multiple times. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. Based on the preliminary investigation, it is believed both the victim and the suspect encountered each other outside of the bar where the victim was shot. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his 20's and believed to have fled the scene in a black, Chevy Impala, with 20 inch shiny wheels.
