The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the assault of a 25 year-old male.
On September 17th, 2011, at 2:00 a.m., officers responded to 18th Street and J Street regarding an assault. Upon arrival, officers located the victim who had been struck in the head with a heavy object.
The victim and his male acquaintance were walking along J Street when they were approached by a sports utility vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by a male Black driver and a female Black passenger. The driver began to yell sexual epithets at the victim and his friend. As the victim and his acquaintance continued to walk away, the driver got out of the SUV and assaulted the victim. The suspect then fled in the awaiting vehicle. The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
The driver was described as a male Black, mid 20's, 5'8" to 5'9", husky build, a short buzz cut with sideburns, last seen wearing a light-colored shirt and baggie jeans. The passenger was described as female Black, mid 20's, with curly shoulder-length hair. The suspect vehicle was a white or silver colored sports utility vehicle, possibly a Range Rover with paper license plates.
