The Sacramento Police Department is alerting the community of two robbery suspects.
On Saturday, December 17, 2011, at 7:25 p.m., the victim had left his vehicle and was approaching the door of a residence in the 5100 block of Fredericksburg Way. The victim turned around when he heard footsteps and was confronted by the two suspects. One of the suspects was armed with a gun and they demanded his money. The victim threw his wallet on the ground. The suspects grabbed it and ran away.
The suspects were described as: #1 male Black 18-19 years old, 5'10", 150 pounds, skinny, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans; #2 male Black 18-19 years old, 6'-6'2", 150 pounds, skinny with a dark complexion and armed with a gun. They fled the scene in a Nissan Maxima or an Inifiniti sedan with tinted windows.
It is unknown if this robbery is connected in any way to the homicide that occurred later that night. However, in both cases, victims were contacted by two suspects in residential areas. Because of this, the police department wants to alert the community.
Residents in the area are asked to check their home surveillance video and see if there is any suspicious activity or anyone matching the suspect's description.
