The Sacramento Police Department is investigating a hit and run accident that has left a 45-year-old male in critical condition at the hospital.
On February 19, 2012, at 6:53 a.m., officers responded to Stockton Boulevard and Dias Avenue on a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident. Medical personnel also responded and transported the pedestrian to the hospital.
Officers were able to determine that the suspect vehicle, a newer model charcoal grey sedan, possibly a Honda, had fled the scene north on Stockton Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle is described as a male Asian 36-42 years old, medium build with scruffy facial hair.
The Sacramento Police Department's Traffic Investigators and Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded to the scene. The investigation has revealed that the pedestrian was in the crosswalk when he was struck by the sedan. Detectives are hoping that someone will notice a charcoal grey sedan with unexplained front end damage and contact the police.
