The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 31-year-old male.
On Monday, March 12, 2012, at 11:01 p.m., officers were called to the 7600 block of Center Parkway on an argument that had escalated to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim who had suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was declared deceased at the scene.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. At this time, detectives are actively investigating the circumstances that led to this homicide. They have yet to identify a suspect(s) or motive. They do believe that the victim and one or more suspects knew one another and that an argument ensued between them. At some point in the altercation, the victim, a Sacramento resident, was shot and ultimately died from his injuries.
