The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a male, Hispanic, in his mid 30s.
On March 18, 2012, at 1:25 a.m., police responded to the 700 block of 30th Street regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, police discovered the victim in a parking lot with a fatal gunshot wound to his upper body.
The Sacramento Police Department's Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded to investigate. Based on information obtained during the investigation, the victim got into a verbal altercation with the suspect after leaving a nearby birthday party. Sometime during the altercation the suspect shot and killed the victim and fled the area. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic in his 20s, 5'6", 150 pounds.
