The Sacramento Police Department has arrested 23-year-old Albert Padilla (pictured below) for the shooting death of 26-year-old Luis Alfredo Vasquez.
On August 11, 2012, at approximately 3:15 a.m., police responded to the 2500 block of Traction Avenue regarding a subject who had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located Vasquez with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Medical personnel arrived on scene and transported Vasquez to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
On August, 23, 2012, officers located and arrested Padilla in Stockton, California for the murder of Vasquez.
On August 27, 2012, Padilla's girlfriend, Selina Torres, age 21 (pictured below), was arrested in Sacramento as an accessory to the murder.
