On Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at approximately 8:13 p.m., police were called to the 4300 block of Norwood Avenue regarding a dead body.
Family members came to the victim's apartment to check her welfare after not hearing from her for about a day. Family found the victim inside her apartment and immediately called police. Officers arrived and an investigation ensued.
Homicide detectives, along with Crime Scene Investigators, were called out to the scene. Based on the circumstances known at this time, it appears there is foul play involved.
The victim is in her 70s and lived alone in her apartment. Additional details are not available as the investigation is still ongoing.
