The Sacramento Police Department would like to announce that four of our employees were recognized for their noteworthy service to the community by the Domestic Violence Prevention Collaboration (DVPC).

On October 4, 2012, Sergeant Michael Poroli and Officers Konrad Vonschoech, Jeff Griggs and Shannon Richardson, received the annual DVPC award. In a recent incident, their efforts demonstrated compassion, professionalism and dedication to end the cycle of domestic violence.

October is domestic violence awareness month and during this time the DVPC recognizes extraordinary individuals that have gone above and beyond to assist those involved in incidents of domestic violence.   

The Sacramento Police Department is proud to recognize the commendable efforts and dedication to duty put forward by these employees, thereby making the City of Sacramento a safer place.
