The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the murder of a 24-year-old male.
On Tuesday November 13, 2012, at approximately 6:36 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Sextant Way on reports of a subject that was shot. Witnesses reported that they heard a subject calling for help, went outside and found the victim.
Officers arrived and found the victim lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
The Sacramento Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. Based upon the preliminary investigation, it is believed that the victim was not shot at that location, but possibly dropped off where he was found. We currently have no motive for this assault and are actively working the case.
