On December 27, 2012 at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to reports of gunshots on the 600 block of Las Palmas Avenue.
Officers arrived and found a male Black adult in his fifties with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded and are investigating the circumstances that led to this incident. Responding officers spoke to multiple witnesses and found that the gunman arrived in a vehicle, fired multiple shots at the victim and then fled the area in the vehicle he arrived in.
At this point in the investigation, there is no known motive to the homicide and this continues to be an ongoing investigation. No one has been arrested in relation to this deadly shooting.
