On Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at approximately 4:20 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to Del Paso Boulevard and Southgate Road on a report of two subjects who had been stabbed.
Officers arrived and found two female victims in their twenties suffering from multiple stab wounds. Fire department personnel also responded and transported both victims to an area hospital where they are currently being treated for their injuries.
At this time it is believed an altercation occurred involving the occupants of two separate vehicles. The incident appears to have started in the area of Northgate Boulevard and the Arden Garden Connector. The victims pulled over, exited their vehicle, and engaged in a physical altercation with the occupants of the other vehicle. During the incident the victims were stabbed multiple times. After the assault the victims got back into their car, drove to the area of Del Paso Blvd and Southgate Road and called the police.
Due to the seriousness of the victims' injuries Homicide detectives were called out to assist with investigating the circumstances that led to this incident. No one has been arrested in relation to the assault and this continues to be an active and ongoing investigation.
