Sacramento, California - The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the homicide of a 30-year-old man. The victim was found inside his apartment with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
On Monday, April 8, 2013, at approximately 10:11 a.m., Sacramento Fire Department personnel were called to an apartment in the 8000 block of Pocket Road for a subject found unresponsive and not breathing. Responding officers arrived, located the victim, then fire personnel arrived shortly thereafter pronouncing him deceased at the scene.
The victim's friends had not seen or heard from the victim recently, went to his apartment to check his welfare, and found him lying on the floor. His friends immediately called the authorities for help.
Officers conducted a canvass for witnesses, secured the scene, and researched prior events in the area.
Homicide Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators responded and are actively working the case. At this time there is no known motive or suspect information.
