Police are asking for the community's help in providing information regarding a homicide that occurred one month ago.
On Sunday, March 17, 2013, at approximately 12:48 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the area of 18th and P Streets regarding a report of a subject who was bleeding. Officers arrived and found the 28-year-old victim, Josiah Humphreys, seriously injured from a physical altercation. Three unknown suspects are believed to be involved in the physical assault on Humphreys, who was transported to an area hospital and succumbed to his injuries. (Press Release No. 20130317-42)
Detectives continue to actively work the case and have developed information regarding the following possible suspect descriptions:
Surveillance video obtained from the area continues to be reviewed in an attempt to identify the involved suspects. Detectives believe there are witnesses that have not yet come forward. Currently Josiah's family, his friends and the community are offering a reward and callers may be eligible for up to $15,000.
