The Sacramento Police Department is requesting the community's assistance in identifying a robbery suspect.
On Friday, April 19, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., police responded to the 1500 block of West El Camino Avenue regarding an armed robbery at the Advance America. Armed with a handgun, the suspect entered the business, demanded money and ordered the victim into the safe at gunpoint. The suspect stole money from the safe, left the store on foot and fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect (pictured below) was described as a black male, in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, 140 to 150 pounds, with a thin mustache. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, white athletic shoes, and a black ball cap with a possible Adidas logo.
The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this investigation to contact the Communications Center at (916) 264-5471 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357) or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
