On April 25th, 2013, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) recognized 12 Sacramento police officers for their dedication in education and enforcement to combat impaired driving.
MADD awarded the following officers for their superior effort: Yul Alameda, Zach Bell, Luis Canela, Stephen Chipp, William Conner, Tim Davis, Curtis Gates, Amber Hawley, Matt Hoffman, Christopher Swift, Andrew Stewart, and Keri Wilson.
Officers Tim Davis was additionally recognized for his outstanding performance in the "Avoid the 17" campaign. "Avoid the 17" campaign is a partnership of 17 law enforcement agencies in the county combined to fight impaired driving and enforce traffic related laws.
Officer Keri Wilson received the Sacramento regional award for the highest number of impaired driving arrests in 2012.
