The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help with information regarding a recent Elder Abuse incident.
On Friday, August 30, 2013, just after 8:00 a.m., a victim in her 70s was assaulted by four suspects as she was walking in the area of Florin Road and 24th Street.
The suspects exited a larger black car that pulled up to the victim as she walked on 24th Street from Florin Road. The specific motive for the assault is unknown but robbery may have been a factor as the suspects dumped the contents of the victim’s shopping bag onto the ground.
The victim suffered bruising and cuts from the physical assault and was treated and released from an area hospital.
The suspects were described as male Black adults. Three were reportedly in their 20s and one was believed by the victim to be in his 40s. All of the suspects had an athletic type build and reported to be approximately 6 feet tall. Some of the suspects had on red shirts and red shorts.
