The Sacramento Police Department has teamed up with the Target Corporation to bring holiday joy and cheer to 27 children and their families.
On Sunday, December 15, 2013, at 8 a.m., officers accompanied 27 preselected children on a shopping spree at the Target Store located at North Freeway Blvd. and Gateway Park Blvd. Each child was accompanied by an officer and a Target representative and received $120.00 to purchase gifts for themselves and/or others. The children and their families were selected by local elementary school representatives, Cops and Clergy, and area officers.
The Sacramento Police Department would like to thank the Target Corporation for its continued support. This is another great example of the partnership between Target, the Sacramento Police Department, and the children and their families within our community.
Target partners with law enforcement and criminal justice organizations throughout the nation through the "Target-Heroes and Helpers” program which builds stronger and safer communities.
