Sacramento Police homicide detectives are asking for the community’s help in locating 16-year-old Antoine Weber, wanted for homicide. Weber is believed to have shot and fatally injured his brother’s girlfriend, Nichole Duarte, aged 19.
On Saturday, March 15, 2014, at approximately 12:37 a.m., officers responded to the 7200 block of Gloria Drive when the victim’s neighbor called police after the injured Duarte knocked on her door in search of help. Responding officers found that Duarte had a gunshot wound to her face and was in need of immediate medical attention. Fire Department personnel transported the critically injured Duarte to the hospital where she later died on Monday, March 17, 2014.
Although a specific motive for the deadly shooting is not yet clear, detectives are confident this incident escalated from a dispute between known subjects. The victim’s boyfriend, Raymond Weber, 22, is also believed to have been on scene during this incident; Raymond and his brother Antoine are thought to have eventually fled the area of the shooting.
Raymond Weber is currently wanted for violation of his parole stemming from separate charges, not related to this case. Detectives would like to speak with Raymond Weber regarding his involvement in this case and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.
The Sacramento Police Department considers Antoine Weber to be armed and extremely dangerous. Please notify law enforcement immediately if you have information regarding his whereabouts.
