The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying those responsible for a shooting that fatally injured a man in his 20s and left six others with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries.
On Saturday, May 10, 2014, at approximately 5:06 p.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of Guadalajara Way regarding a report of shots fired at an area park. Two armed gunman are believed to have approached a gathering for a child’s birthday party. The suspects appeared to have targeted a group of adult males attending the party and fired several shots towards the men. A 7-year-old girl, who is expected to recover, was one of the victims who was struck and treated at the hospital.
Sacramento Police Homicide, Gang Detectives and other Crime Suppression units responded and performed rapid follow up on available leads. Investigators also searched the area for any possible evidence which resulted in the surveillance photograph (below) of the suspects’ vehicle. The car is described as a mid 2000s gold Ford Taurus and the suspects, two Black males in their 20s, are believed to have arrived and fled in the pictured car.
The Sacramento Police Department considers the occupants of the below vehicle to be armed and extremely dangerous. Please notify law enforcement immediately if you have any information regarding the vehicle or its occupants.
