The Sacramento Police Department now has more than 15,000 Twitter followers. The 2,529 tweets posted on our account include traffic alerts, photos of community events, and links to the Department’s daily activity log and press releases. Our public information officers also Tweet information on critical incidents such as SWAT and EOD callouts occurring in real time so we can keep the media and community informed.

The Sacramento Police Department’s Twitter account has become a great vehicle to transmit real time information to and from the community, and we would like to express our deepest appreciation to our Twitter and Facebook followers.
