The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a robbery suspect.
On Monday, June 30, 2014, at approximately 1:15 a.m., two robbery suspects approached the victim in the area of 16th Street and H Street. One of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded her purse at gunpoint. The victim immediately complied with the suspects, who fled on foot with the victim’s property.
Both of the suspects are described as Hispanic males in their 20s.
Minutes later, one of the suspects was captured, on video surveillance, using the victim’s stolen credit card (see photographs below). The possible suspect was also caught on surveillance, in multiple locations, driving two different vehicles: gold 4-door sedan and a dark green or black late 90s 4-door minivan. A third vehicle (black 4-door SUV) was seen traveling with the two before mentioned vehicles and detectives believe it to be associated with the pictured suspect.
The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to the robbery or identity of the suspect to contact the dispatch center at (916) 264-5471 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357) or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
