On Monday, November 17, 2014, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Sacramento Police Officers responded to a residence in the 4000 block of Shining Star Drive regarding a welfare check.

Upon arrival, officers located a subject who appeared to be deceased inside of the residence.  Due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, homicide detectives responded to the scene and began a homicide investigation.  The investigation is still very active.
