On Monday, November 17, 2014 at 9:07 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department received a call of a subject shot in the 7300 block of 29th Street.
Officers arrived at the parking lot of an apartment complex and found an 18 year-old male that had been shot. Sacramento Fire personnel arrived and despite their life saving efforts declared him deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives responded along with Crime Scene Investigators to investigate. Detectives contacted witnesses, canvassed the area and delved into the case.
The investigation is ongoing and a motive is still not established. Investigators do not believe this is a random act and are looking into the possibility of this shooting being related to drug activity.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office responded.
