On Friday, January 9, 2015, at approximately 10:50 a.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of Norwood Avenue regarding a male victim that had been shot. Officers rushed to the scene to discover an employee of a recycling center had been seriously injured and confirmed to be suffering from an apparent gunshot injury. The man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel. Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to assist with processing the scene.
