The Sacramento Police Department has arrested 19-year-old Armando Pachicano and 20-year-old Eduardo Cortes for the attempted murder of a 23-year-old woman in North Sacramento.
On Sunday, March 22, 2015, at approximately 1:14 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department received a 911 call regarding a report of a woman who had been assaulted. Further reports indicated the sounds of screaming near the 2200 block of Grove Avenue.
Several officers responded to the scene and found the victim who was suffering from serious injuries as a result of a domestic violence incident. Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where she continues to receive medical treatment for life-threatening injuries.
Detectives, along with Crime Scene Investigators, were called to the scene due to the seriousness of the victim’s injuries.
Early on in the investigation, Cortes was detained by responding officers, after a short foot pursuit as he fled the scene. Cortes was subsequently booked for attempted murder due to his role in the assault.
During a preliminary investigation, to include interviewing numerous witnesses, detectives identified an additional suspect, 19-year-old Armando Pachicano. Later that same day, Pachicano was located in North Sacramento and booked into Jail for attempted murder.
