The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help with information regarding a vehicle that fled the scene after striking a bicyclist.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at approximately 6:44 p.m., an adult in his 40s was riding his bicycle southbound on Sully Street near Marlin Spike way. A vehicle, described as a 1992 to 2002 Cadillac Eldorado struck the man causing him to fall to the ground. The victim suffered critical injuries from the collision and the Sacramento Fire Department pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
Detectives believed the vehicle, further described as a silver 2-door with tinted windows, was also traveling southbound on Sully Street when it struck the victim and fled the scene.
During a preliminary investigation, to include a canvas of the neighborhood, officers discovered video surveillance of what is believed to be the suspect’s vehicle (see below).
