The Sacramento Police Department is seeking information regarding the investigation of a fatal motorcycle collision.
On Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of Exposition Boulevard and Response Road where they located a male adult motorcyclist down near the roadway. Fire personnel responded to the scene and transported the man to the UCD Medical Center where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed the 23-year-old male was riding eastbound on Exposition Boulevard on a gold Suzuki 650 sport bike when he suddenly locked up his front brake causing the bike to fall over onto its right side. The rider and the bike slid a short distance before he collided with a solid embankment.
The Sacramento Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation Unit responded to the scene along with Crime Scene Investigators. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol played a role in this collision. Detectives are requesting the community’s help in providing more information on this active investigation.
