The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a murder suspect.
On Thursday, April 30, 2015, at approximately 6:32 p.m., Sacramento Police Officers responded to a residential apartment building in the 1000 block of 10th Street regarding an assault with injuries. The alleged suspect fled the scene on foot prior to officers arriving on scene.
Officers arrived and located a male victim in his 50s. He was found in a hallway of the building and appeared to have sustained multiple stab wounds. Officers immediately began lifesaving efforts.
Sacramento Fire Department Medics responded to the location and declared the victim deceased at the scene.
Crime Scene Investigators along with Sacramento Police Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and began an in-depth investigation.
The suspect has been identified as 41-year-old Gordon James. He is described as a black male, approximately 5’7”, 180 pounds, with a shaved head and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue or purple shirt and blue jeans.
The Sacramento Police Department considers James to be armed and dangerous. Please contact law enforcement immediately if you have information regarding his whereabouts.
