On Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at 2:20 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department, at the request of the Sacramento Fire Department, responded to the 3900 block of Mack Road regarding the death of a three-year-old girl.
Sacramento Fire Department personnel were originally dispatched to the residence for an emergency medical aid call after a family member living at the home called 911. Upon arrival, the child was found to be unresponsive, and despite life-saving efforts, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Due to the unknown circumstances surrounding the child’s death, Homicide Detectives along with Crime Scene Investigators responded to assist. They began an investigation which included contacting witnesses and interviewing family members.
At this time, the cause of death is undetermined and is pending the completion of the Coroner’s investigation.
