On Friday, May 29, 2015, at approximately 8:50 a.m., officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 1700 block of Capital Park Drive.  

Officers quickly arrived to the apartment complex and located a 37-year-old man lying in the front doorway of an apartment.  The man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.  Sacramento Fire Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

Homicide detectives along with Crime Scene Investigators were summoned to the scene to begin investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. 

A specific motive for the shooting is still not yet known and the investigation remains very active.  There is no suspect information.
