The Sacramento Police Department has arrested 41-year-old Scott Boyer for murder.

On Thursday, August 13, 2015, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Trail End Way regarding the report of a physical altercation.

When officers arrived on scene, it was determined two family members had been in a physical altercation.  Officers separated the two men, one being Boyer.  They later discovered a deceased female body, concealed under dirt and debris, in the back yard of the residence. An investigation, led by the Sacramento Police Homicide Unit and in conjunction with the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office, Sacramento County Coroner's Office, and the Sacramento County Crime Lab, has established information leading to the arrest of Scott Boyer related to the death of the unidentified female.  Today, August 14, 2015, Boyer was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for murder. 

The identification of the deceased female has not yet been determined and is pending the completion of the coroner’s investigation.
