On Friday, October 9, 2015, at 8:22 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department received a report of a shooting near the 1800 Block of Club Center Drive.
Responding officers located a male black adult, in his mid 20’s, inside a residence who had suffered a single gunshot wound to his torso. Sacramento Fire personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
Homicide Detectives along with Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene to collect evidence, process the scene and canvass the area.
During the preliminary investigation, detectives received information that two subjects got into an older model, powder blue minivan which was driven by a male white adult. This vehicle was seen leaving the area around the time of the incident.
Investigators believe that this is an isolated incident and that the suspect may have been known to the victim. The investigation continues to be on-going and at this time no arrests have been made.
