On Thursday, December 10, 2015, at 9:55 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Empress Street regarding a report of shots fired.
Officers arrived on scene and located the 25-year-old male victim, who appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Sacramento Fire personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
Homicide detectives along with Crime Scene Investigators were summoned to the scene to begin collecting evidence, and canvassing the area.
The investigation continues to be on-going and a specific motive is still not yet known. No arrests have been made at this time.
