On Friday, December 25, 2015, at 10:07 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the area of Sherman Way and Miller Way regarding a subject who had been shot.
Officers arrived on scene and located the adult male who had sustained a gunshot wound. The Sacramento Fire Department responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital where he remained in critical condition.
Major Crimes Detectives began their investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
The male victim remained in the hospital and later succumbed to his injuries on Friday, January 8, 2016. Due to the recent death of the victim, this assault is being classified as a Homicide Investigation.
This continues to be an active investigation and no arrests have been made at this time. Detectives are asking for the community’s help for any information pertaining to this incident.
